I would like to share information with you about church management systems (ChMs). One such program is Pushpay, which was formerly known as Church Community Builder (CCB). Although it is primarily a database, it has many other useful applications that can benefit churches. Nowadays, many programs serve as an “address book” but also offer statistics, event check-ins, group communication, giving, messaging, and even an app.
I have learned a lot about ChMs through the research and implementation of this program for my church. Although I had no prior knowledge, I found it to be very useful after a bit of a learning curve.
Using the event check-in feature for our Vacation Bible School, allowed for collecting necessary information before the event, including allergy information which was important for the snack team. This pre-check-in also allowed for pre-printing labels for attendees, which saved time in the registration line.
One important feature that some programs, including Pushpay, provide is background checks, which are an additional cost. However, the process is straightforward, and notifications come through once it is completed.
With Pushpay, creating groups such as deacons, staff, and various small groups makes it simple to send out messages to keep everyone informed and on the same page.
The giving feature is connected to the church website and app to enable online giving. Any donations made by check/cash can also be entered and accounted for. Statements are automatically available for each giver as they set up an individual account to access their personal information.
There is so much more to this program, and others alike, so I encourage you to do your research. If you have any questions about Pushpay, please feel free to contact me. I am eager to help, and I am confident that you will be amazed at all the benefits a ChMs program can provide for your church as you move forward to serve your community.
