I just returned from a few days away attending a conference for ministry assistants. It was such a great time! We ate, played games with socks and Vaseline, (you had to be there) learned about taking care of ourselves physically and mentally, ate some more and were taught about safety practices in our office/church through the local police/fire departments. Oh, and we ate. Did I mention that?
It was a great time of learning, having fun and encouraging each other through prayer also. This organization, Baptist Ministry Assistants of Virginia, put a lot of hard work and thought into this event. It is important to have one or more sister friends that you can reach out to for those times you need prayer, someone to unload to, or even to answer a question about office “stuff”. This organization offers that and more.
Seeing the ladies laughing together, hugging on one another, and helping support a sister friend who was ill is all a part of what God calls us to do. Love One Another. The BMAV logo is encased in a circle and I think it is no accident. Circling each other in prayer in what they do best!
